Hi all, currently considering private fertility treatment (ICSI) due to male factor infertility and finding the choice of clinics and lack of formal quality rankings/ratings really overwhelming. What is the best way to go about choosing a suitable and reputable clinic? Our catchment area is Gloucestershire/Bristol. Thank you for any help and guidance.

Choosing a clinic
hi, I don’t have a clinic recommendation but I found it useful to use a clinic which had a male fertility specialist/urologist attached. The clinic will potentially be more knowledgeable about what could help. Best of luck x
Hi, I am also currently undergoing ICSI in Oxfordshire and I chose ABC who also have a branch in Bristol. I chose them mainly due to cost as they are much cheaper than others but have a very good success rate and so far have been very happy with the treatment and service I have had so recommend looking into them.
Hi lovely, the HFEA website is a good resource:hfea.gov.uk/choose-a-clinic...
It also has an article giving tips on how to choose a clinic. Most clinics have similar success rates, success rates are one factor but also patient feedback is important. Good luck xxx
You'll have a few scan appointments so make sure it's somewhere you can get to handy, especially if you are booking them in around working hours. I know this isn't the most important factor on picking a clinic but something to bear in mind for your shortlist.
thank you everyone for your comments and advice, I appreciate you taking the time to reply x
I've PM you as you are not supposed to mention clinics by name here. Attend a few open events at different clinics to get a feel for them x
