Hi ladies - I hope you are all well. I know you’re not allowed to mention particular clinics, but I was hoping someone could help with where to start when choosing a clinic? In November we came to the end of our NHS-funded treatment and would like to start again at the end of this year. But I feel completely overwhelmed with so many clinics; what to look for, where to check, questions to ask, etc. With the NHS, we only had the option of picking out of two clinics so it made it easier. And even though we’ve just had two fresh rounds + a frozen round, I feel like I have no idea what I’m doing 😭
Just some background: I am based in Surrey, infertility issues are with me (low AMH/1 tube/Stage IV endometriosis), we are leaning towards clinics that offer Access Fertility programmes but completely open to suggestions/recommendations, etc (abroad or UK).
Any help would would be massively appreciated. Thanks and hugs in advance xxx

Hi. Its a minefield isn't it!
We started off working out whether a clinic being near work or home was most important (I work in London but live quite a commute away). We decided home and went on the HFEA website and made a shortlist based on success rates and client feedback - whilst success rates were important we really wanted a clinic we would feel comfortable so the client feedback was an important factor. We only had a couple of clinics near us so that made it easier. We visited both and one was a super new, shiny, clinical and had lots of new fangled tests etc available; and the other was in a 1970s building, and a not for profit, but had a really homely feel about it.. so we went with that one! And I have never regretted our choice! Masses of luck xx
Hi Daisy, thank you for responding! I am the same, we live in Surrey but most of the clinics people are recommending are in London. And Surrey isn't too far away from London but the travel cost / time is something we are trying to weigh up; especially with scans etc. I am lucky my work are so flexible but at the same time, don't want to add additional stress (as if IVF isn't stressful enough!). I have found 3 local IVF clinics near me so I will be seeing if they have any open evenings.
I've also just had a read of your profile and I am so sorry to read about your miscarriages. Sending you a big hug and best of luck for your next course of action/treatment xx
We had one funded round through the nhs last year and have now chosen a clinic in Brno which has excellent reviews. If you would like me to send you any info let me know x
