Start of first cycle

I am just about to start my first cycle.

Anyone else at the same point in their journey?

I had a mock cycle which went well with Progynova increasing my lining really well but it also showed up 3 polyps, which were large and needed removing as they could have affected the transfer.

All removed now and the results are back and histology is all OK.

Had a scan today which showed the lining to be just over 2mm thick, so I can go straight in with using aspirin and Progynova again.

DH has had his sperm surgically retrieved (due to failed vasectomy Reversal) and frozen and, due to my age, and no egg reserve, we are using donor eggs.

Feeling excited and apprehensive at the same time, not sure how long it will be before transfer but can’t be soon enough.

Isn’t this journey a roller coaster of emotions, one minute your elated and next you can’t stop sobbing.

Reading all your posts has kept me sane, just wanted to say thanks .

Think we're in a similar boat... I've just started my first Buserelin injection this morning!

On long protocol due to my age (39) and I have mild adenomyosis. We will be having ICSI due to low sperm count.

Interesting to hear you did a mock cycle! I didn't get the option but sounds like it's been a good thing to do to check your reaction to meds and clear the polyps.

When are you starting your first injection?

Hi

I am on oral meds ( no injections).

Started to take 2 x Progynova twice a day and baby aspirin once a day.

Got 2nd scan next week to see how things are going.
