Any successful stories of first failed FET with donor eggs and success on 2nd FET with embryos from the same donor / cycle?

Hi all, I hope you are all doing as well as you can be on this difficult journeyđŸ©·.

I had a double FET from a donor cycle, which sadly ended in a loss at 6 weeks. The embryos were PGA tested and all high quality. I am going to be having another double FET in a few months time and I am really nervous in case the next transfer ends the same way😱. My IVF doctor advised because I don’t have many chances to try again that I should do a new donor cycle using NGS testing, instead of using existing embryos to increase my chances, but I have decided to try with my existing embies first.

So I am finding it really hard to feel positive about my next transfer now.

Has anyone else had success please with their 2nd FET from the same donor and same cycle and if so what did you do differently please?

I was on an immune protocol (never had any immune tests but to increase my chances), I had Accupuncture before and after transfer and intralipids after my transfer. Also oral gut and vagina probiotics.

I have adenomyosis and so really struggled with my lining, so had a down protocol for 3 months first and a hysterscopy and scratch. My lining only got to 7.3 on transfer day, which was good for me but they wanted minimum of 8.

Thank you for reading and good luck everyoneđŸ™đŸ©·

Hi, I'm so sorry about your loss. I’m in the same situation. I did double-donor embryos this month and tested negative. As for me, the lining was good 9mm+, but I got fibroids in my uterus muscles. According to all the gynaecologists I have seen it shouldn’t affect me to get pregnant. May I ask you what immune protocol you were put on? I think I need to look into it this time if I do another round of IVF. Thanks

Hi

My first transfer with DE failed but the second worked. Currently pregnant.

The embryos weren't tested.

It does make sense to use what you have first.

First donor, 3 embryos, 3 single transfers and all BFN.

Second donor, 7 embryos, first transfer single embryo ending in chemical. Transfers five and six double transfers both BFN. Transfer seven double transfer of final two embryos ending in single pregnancy.

Hi I got 3 embryos from a donor round (following no success with my own eggs). First 2 transfers were BFN and third transfer worked. I did the EMA, Alice and ERA before the third FET from this round. Results said I needed lots of probiotics and an extra 30 hours of progesterone before transfer. Also added a low dose aspirin a day. Currently 29 weeks x

I’m in a similar situation! How long did you take probiotics for before doing the 3rd cycle

I only had 3 weeks before my FET and I didn’t want to cancel. I had used a box of Canesflor 1 a day before my biopsy and still had 0% good bacteria. So knowing that, I decided to use 3 a day Canesflor for 3 weeks before my FET. It must have worked because I got my BFP. I have heard that you can’t get Canesflor atm though and vaginal probiotics are hard to come by. Luckily I managed to get it before it went x
