Natural Cycle ERA

Hi everyone, Just looking for opinions or experiences if anyone had or was recommended to have an ERA/Emma/Alice when doing a natural or modified natural transfer. I've had 2 modified natural transfers this year, just trigger and progesterone pessaries, 1st chemical and 2nd BFN and about to do my last in the next couple of months so I just want to make sure I have all my bases covered. I have chatted about this with my clinic and they said they used to recommend it but recent research has not shown an increase in pregnancy rates so they don't really recommend them anymore. My understanding of it was that it was less likely to be needed in a natural cycle as your body takes over the production of progesterone but I know some people have done it.

Hello. I did an ERA on a modified natural mock cycle, my consultant said that while ERA studies focus on medicated cycles she's seen good success rates with her patients on modified natural cycles though of course you can never be sure which other factors would have contributed favourably. I am hoping to start my FET in April so unfortunately cannot yet say whether it's been spot on for me. It was important for my own peace of mind to get everything checked out including the transfer timing as we only have two frozen embryos. I will keep you posted if you like! I did my ERA as part of the Endo Quartet which I found reassuring. Wishing you all the best! x

Thanks so much for the reply, yes please keep me posted. I'm not planning my last transfer for another couple of months so now is the time to do it if I'm going to. Like you, it's a piece of mind thing that I have done everything before my last transfer. Fingers crossed for you xx
