delayed miscarriage

I am due to have a D&C on Wednesday as on my last scan there was no heartbeat, this is after one miscarriage and one ectopic.

My question is, is it worth analysing the tissue as the hospital won’t do it im not under recurrent miscarriage clinic yet and they said if I want that I need to go private which is really expensive. My Gp said it’s not worth spending the money as it won’t change anything even if they analyse it.

Anyone has any experience?

Hey lovely, I’m so sorry for your loss. I hope you’re looking after yourselves have people around you to support you 💗. I guess at the end of the day it’s completely up to you and what you feel comfortable with but I know that’s not helpful. I guess they don’t offer it until after recurrent miscarriage because they painfully say ‘it could just be one of those things’. Someone else might be offer you more advice to see if it bought them any answers but I know like many things in this difficult journey so many things are an unknown despite trying desperately to search for the answers. Don’t kick yourself if you don’t choose to do it, you will make the right decision for yourself xx
