I have just finished a FET cycle unfortunately the embryo didn't stick. I emailed the clinic to say this yesterday and had a call today asking to book in for a follow up appointment. I've been offered a call for the 29th July. Has anyone else had to wait 7 weeks for a follow up from a failed FET? I've not had a great experience with our clinic so I was just wondered what other peoples experiences have been?
Thank you in advance x

Hi there, I had to wait about 3 weeks for each of my reviews and even that I felt was too long! I really have no idea what the norm is... really sorry to hear your transfer was not successful
Hi Violet, I'm sorry to hear this one didn't stick. Hope you're doing ok.Are you with the NHS? If so, this is normal. If you're private then I would say uncommon - normally 2 weeks xx
I did 2 cycles with the NHS and each time the follow up was ludicrously far away. I kept calling every week to see if they had any cancellations and ended up only waiting 3 weeks for one. You can try that xx
We are private and our review is 5 weeks this time, 3 weeks last time. Seems a busy world in IVF clinics! Although we actually are ok with waiting a while to just let the dust settle and process things. Good luck x
I’ve asked something similar Violet I really think it is too long to wait. Our follow up from a failed cycle (no embryos) is 6 weeks I said I couldn’t wait that long, so they have given me one with a different consultant next week but it’s not ideal at all. Thinking of you, the whole process is so so tough xx
I'm sorry to hear about your failed cycle, it is so tough. I agree it is far too long. I know i'm angry / upset / hormonal! I hope you get some answers xx
I got my BFN on 7th June and I’m not speaking to the consultant until 27th July!! So a similar wait to yourself. I don’t mind too much as don’t want to try again unp til August as we have a few days away booked before that and I feel I need some time to relax before starting again. But if someone wanted to start the next month it would be annoying. Xx
I should add that I could perhaps speak to a different consultant slightly earlier, but I want to speak to the person who did my trial transfer and actual real transfer.
