I’m currently 5dp6dt of a double day 6 frozen embryo transfer.
One was 2BB
The other is an ‘early blastocyst’ and not able to be graded.
Im feeling really down as everything I read says that the likelihood of a live birth/pregnancy is low.
Im concerned that they’re both such early stage blastocysts even on day 6, so they seem to be very slow to develop.
Im wondering if anyone has any success stories they can share?
This is my second FET. The first ended in a chemical pregnancy. The first time round I had really sore boobs by this stage and I have no symptoms at the minute, so makes me feel like it hasn’t worked.
Any words of encouragement would be greatly appreciated xxx

Don't loss hope!! Embryo grading is a tricky one. BB is good. The 2 could be just down to the invididual who graded it. Another could have graded it higher. I've heard it described as a beauty contest, and not 100 accurate.
Best of luck to you xx
I have been on this forum for years and have seen people get pregnant from morula's - which are pre-blast stage! So there is definitely still hope. The thing to remind yourself is the grading of an embryo is a point in time snapshot and not reflective of what happened even 5 minutes afterwards, your embryo could have suddenly had a spurt and developed and no-one would know. You are in with a chance and that is the main thing. Wishing you heaps of luck x
I think because I'm not experiencing any symptoms/sore boobs I'm really expecting the worst. My last FET where I had a chemical preg I had really swollen boobs.
I'll try and stay positive. I've hit the halfway mark in the 2ww and it's torture xx
Honestly every round is different, I have done 7 rounds and I have never had the same 'symptoms' twice and some have been positive and some negative. I know its a horrible waiting game and just send you heaps of luck xx
I saw your post yesterday and thought of you this morning. Almost two weeks ago, I went in for embryo transfer only to be told just 1 of our 7 embryos had reached early blastocyt stage, and even that was too early to grade. The team suggested transferring that and the most developed morula, as they suspected none of the other embryos would be candidates for freezing the following day. For the last two weeks, my hopes have been extremely low and I was fully resigned to a BFN this morning at 13dp5dt. However, at 5am, I got the fattest BFP, with a line appearing immediately. There's a loooong road ahead, but a BFP is possible. Wishing you luck! xx
Oh wow congratulations! I hope everything works out for you 💞💞
That’s so encouraging. I’m surprised they wouldn’t have waited until day 6 for them to develop a bit more. Although that doesn’t matter now as it’s worked!
So your OTD was day 13? Mine is day 10 and I’m wondering if that might be too early especially when they’re slow.
Did you not have any symptoms/sore boobs? Can I ask how old you are too? Xxx
I'm not sure why they didn't wait until day 6 to transfer but they did say it wouldn't be possible - I think they said the embryos were more likely to keep developing inside me than in the incubator.
My OTD was actually tomorrow, 14dpt, but I checked (as I could work from home today) and they said I could test one day early. I have had symptoms eg bloating, sore boobs, fatigue, but I knew the meds would cause all of those so didn't read anything into it.
I'm 34 but these are donor eggs due to severely diminished ovarian reserve so might not be a factor.
Sending you aaaall the luck for when you test - there is hope ❤️
That's very interesting about the embryos being more likely to develop inside the womb.
Also odd how different clinics tell you to test on different days! Why are some Day 10, some day 14. Who knows.
All the estrogen and progesterone are the hormones that are supposed to give you the sore boobs/symptoms, so I'm very confused as to why I'm feeling nothing. I guess some people don't and go on to be positive.
I'm about to turn 34, but have severe endometriosis and thyroid issues.
I'm so excited for you, wishing you all the best and thank you for your encouragement x
My two year old was a slow developing 6 day blastocyst. We had one embryo which didn’t seem to be doing much and another that looks more promising. The good one didn’t make it and my long shot was the one that worked for us. Anything is possible, if I could go back in time, I would tell myself not to analyse everything. There is no rhyme or reason, my best embryo was a 5AA and didn’t implant. Best of luck to you, really hope this round works for you 😊
That's so interesting. There seems to be a 'correlation' with grading and success rates, but really it's down to if they're chromosomally normal and/or the uterus is perfect environment to implant. 5AA is literally the 'perfect' blastocyst.
Everything I read on the internet is always so negative e.g. 2BB's should be 'discarded' / if they're slow to develop then they're probably abnormal and not likely to implant etc. It's great to hear another side.
hi Doolsy! There’s no correlation between egg grading and success. It really is a beauty contest, and a tool for describing a fertilized eggs appearance only. Good luck!
