Trying before FET

Please can someone advise if it’s safe to try before FET? I am ovulating soon and wondered if this was ok?

Hello Rhea87, my clinic strongly advise not to have unprotected intercourse during the actual transfer cycle or even the preparation month if the prep involves procedures like endometrial scratch or a hysteroscopy or biopsy. If your FET is scheduled in the future then I see no harm in trying naturally in the meantime as you should know by the time you have your baseline scan for the actual FET cycle whether or not you conceived (as in you'd have had your period if you're going with natural or modified natural FET). thanks I’m really not hopeful about the transfer I’m so worried. My transfer is in 2 weeks I’ve started the medication as it’s a medicated cycle but I am meant to ovulate in the next few days. I won’t know if I’ve conceived as I’ve already had my period. So I presume I shouldn’t try and just wait for transfer?x

Definitely wait until after your transfer seeing it's already scheduled in two weeks time. You can always try naturally again if the transfer is unsuccessful but let's think positively and keep everything crossed for this transfer, you're nearly there, stay strong! You can do this! x

Hey there Hun. If you are already in preparations for FET and everything is planned and scheduled I wouldn't try naturally but have protected intercourse. If it was a few months before yes I would say go for it but when everything is already planned and transfer is in two weeks it's better off just wait for transfer and take it from there.
