Hello everyone! How many days just before your FET was your final scan to make sure lining and follicles are good ? Is there a recommended day of scan just before FET ? I was told 3 days before is good enough.
Final Scan before FET : Hello everyone... - Fertility Network UK
Final Scan before FET
My scan is 5 days before FET. So 13 days of estrogen patches then 5 days of progesterone after scan.
Are you doing unmedicated?
No I am on medications too. I just started progesterone and FET is on Tuesday. So that’s about 5 days of Prog also. My next scan is tomorrow but I was thinking if it’s better to do one the day before.
What does your clinic expect your lining to be? I think my clinic just scan once but I guess if it's too thin they'll do it again.
The last round they scanned said all ok can proceed . but somehow I felt things went wrong abit especially my hormone levels. So now I am thinking if there should be another scan really near to the transfer or even a day before. Am I just too paranoid or anxious ? Hmm
I had a week since my last scan to the FET. Doing a natural cycle, I started progesterone pessaries 5 days prior to FET - I'm now in the 2ww. I was surprised I did not have another scan closer to the transfer tbh, and I had to request a progesterone blood test 2 days before the transfer just to confirm levels were okay... It seems to me that each clinic has it's own protocol...
I had my last one 48 hours beforehand (day 12). I'd also had one the day before that and my two monitoring scans were on day 6 and another was supposed to be day 8 but got moved as the sonographer was sick.Im with a Spanish clinic so dont know how that compares to a UK, although i was still in uk forcmy day 6 and 7 scans. Hope that helps. Good luck!
thank you for sharing all your experiences.
Hey! I am having my first FET next Tuesday too and they aren't scanning me before then. They scanned me on Tuesday where they said I was ready and booked me in a week from then. I thought I'd have a scan closer to FET day but clearly not! No idea what is normal or to be expected as this is my first go and like you I was a bit worried like, what if it all goes wrong in that week in between - but just having to trust the process!
