I have enjoyed my new clinic, especially during the wait times before going into each procedure. I was able to spend some time with other women also heading to their own procedure (EC or ET) and listen to their stories.

One lady is 48 and had tried multiple times; met her husband later in life. Had a good result with 3 eggs collected (only 1 last time).

Another lady blessed with a daughter on her first try, but now onto her 5th cycle trying for a second.

A third lady also blessed with a boy from her first cycle and now on her second IVF trying for a second.

Finally a fourth lady, single mum wanting one child. Now on her 3rd try, after first waiting three years for a donor. She has a wonderful village of support from family - I can only imagine how much love her child will be raised in. She had a good round this time with 14 eggs, 8 embryos so far.

I love hearing all these stories which brought us all together on this IVF journey. My only regret is that I didn’t keep their contact so that I could hear how their story progresses.

Mine is more straightforward, the husband had azoospermia so we did ICSI. Didn’t respond so well first round but still ended up lucky with our now 21 month old. Now trying again and better response with short protocol!

I don't have a story however, I'm about to start the IVF journey. 41yo, no children, trying for 2 years. I'm OK with it all, even the fact it may not even work for me. But it's comforting hearing everyone's story
