I have just undergone my first cycle of IVF and had a fresh egg transfer yesterday. I had a day 5 BA blastocyst transferred. The clinic have rang to say my other eggs not suitable for freezing. I have gone from 15 to only 1. I am now worried that something is wrong with the embryos.
Has anyone else been in a similar situation and had success with the 1 embryo?
If not did anyone else only get one embryo on their first cycle and get more embryos on their second?

Yes, I had 3 eggs collected which was a sudden drop from the previous cycle of 9 collected, and from those 3, only 1 fertilised and is now my 9 month-old baby boy. I was told that each cycle can be very different from another (true) and it only takes one egg (also true). Good luck, I have everything crossed for you x
Please stay positive as there is hope. I had 7 eggs collected, 2 fertilised and now have a two year old. I was told one that fertilised could not be frozen which made me very anxious but it worked. You really only need one, and you have your golden egg inside you
I cant really advise much on second cycle/success.
However I can sympathise regarding having done one round of IVF and having only 1 embryo. We had 9 follicles and collected 5 eggs, 3 eggs made it to day 5 and the best one was transferred, the other two needed monitoring and then didn’t make it.
Just wanted to reply so you know your not alone with it, it can be really disheartening when you think you’ll have some in the freezer and then none at all! Hope your ok and take care of yourself x
