So ladies I’m 5pt3dt x 2 and would very much like a positivity boost (probably not the only one). I know most people once they get their miracles come away from here but I’m hoping there are still a few.
So I was thinking:
How long TTC
What were the issues (mine are unexplained)
IVF/ICSI cycle #
What day past & how many transferred
When you got your BFP and how far along are you now
So for me so far-
10 years TTC
Unexplained infertility- although traces of antisperm antibodies
1st cycle with ICSI
1 8 cell perfect and 1 6 cell transferd on day 3
5days into the TWW OTD 28th
Anyone else care to share?

many of us oldies are still around giving support and hope to others.
TTC - haven’t used birth control for 15 years and never a sniff of pregnancy. Been with my now husband for 7 years.
Issues - I’m 38 with one ovary and endo. In the ivf process we found we had male factors aswell even though nhs tests said he was fine.
Icsi cycle 1: transferred one 5ab and currently 34 weeks pregnant today with a baby girl who is currently kicking away keeping me up (but wouldn’t change it for the world)
5bc in the freezer
Did a clear blue poas early test at 11dpt. Official otd was 14dpt.
You are in the home straight now not long to go before the 2ww is over x
Congratulations! Sounds similar to ours, 13 collected, 10 mature, 4 fertalised but only 1 made it to 8 cell by day 3. You have given me the hope I was loosing! Not long to go for you now! I bet you can’t wait xxx
Am 36 and ttc for only a short year but had a feeling something wasn't right. Tests showed a blocked tube and severe pcos (although I showed no typical signs of this and had regular periods except a couple of times)
Hubby has no fertility issues.
Abandoned first cycle of ivf as ovary snot producing enough big folicles. Upped drugs and started again with success, 10 eggs collected, 4 didn't make it, 1 5day blasto put back in and 4 frozen.
Bfp following fresh cycle so then did natural FET with 4dbb and am now 21+3weeks pregnant with a boy.
I tested 2 days early with a cheap test then did a clear blue that shows date when I showed hubby. I already knew it was positive before I tested as I felt very different and sick from early on.
It's not been an easy pregnancy as we were having identical twins but one didn't form properly, this then turned into a TRAP sequence pregnancy which nearly meant surgery, turned out Mother Nature did her stuff and surgery wasn't needed, having a scan every 2 weeks now to make sure bean is ok which he is!!!
Good luck in your journey and wish you a speedy 2ww xx
Got him to take wellman conception vitamins and he stopped having any saunas etc. Just tried to make him eat more veg really. We were pleasantly surprised how much his sperm had improved.
With partner almost 10 years, ttc about 4 years (delayed due to cancer treatment for me)
Unexplained infertility following nhs tests but above treatment could have impacted
First round ivf started in July
10 eggs, 4 immature, one abnormal post fertilisation, out of remaining 5 one became a grade 5a blasto which was transferred, one 3bc was frozen on day 6 and the others destroyed due to quality.
There are lots of positive stories so keep the hope...
TTC - 5 years - 1 natural pregnancy 2 years ago which resulted in a mmc at 11.5 weeks
Issues - I’m now 39 with severe endo and had a misshapen uterus - operation in April 16 to remove endo as much as possible and reform uterus. In the ivf process we found out possible male factors too on one test but exercise, vitamins and cutting down after work drinking etc seemed to resolved that
IVF cycle 1: abandoned twice due to bad reactions to medication, endo flares and new cysts appearing - when finally got the levels right one 2bb embryo was transferred on day 5 and currently nearly 33 weeks pregnant with a boy - just 6 eggs collected, 4 fertilised but only 1 still fighting on day 5 as other 3 didn't make it so none to freeze
Managed to wait till official test day as was too nervous before but was in pieces!
Everyday I think he is going to get taken away from me as think fertility issues, mc and IVF leaves you scarred but praying he makes it!
Try to keep positive over the next few days as OTD will be here before you know it!
Try for a few years. IVF. Unexplained. First fresh failed. FET. Two transferred. Top grade blasts. Tested 7dp5dt and got faint lines which got stronger as days went past. Since had scan and only one heartbeat - other sac empty. So positive and not positive. Another scan coming on Monday. Wishing you lots of luck.
Male infertility due to vasectomy many years ago. Had a successful reversal but tubes scarred over again 6 weeks.
Just had 3rd fresh ICSI cycle and had one FET. Results were as follows: Chemical pregnancy- first positive was faint at 4dp5dt- it was so faint at the time I thought it was negative, BFP- 5dp5dt with FET but had a miscarriage at 10+5, BFN and now BFP from latest cycle at 6dp5dt.
TTC 20 months (got referred early because I knew something was wrong and managed to convince GP to just do bloods ahead of time and when they came back with issues they started other tests)
Issues: Mild PCOS for me, low count, motility and morphology for hubby. Because of male factors skipped things like clomid and went straight to ICSI.
ICSI round 1. 15 follicles, 11 eggs collected, 9 fertilised, 4 made to blasto. 1 5AA transferred. 1 2BB, 3BC and day 6 5BB frozen.
Tested 9dp5dt and OTD 12dp5dt. BFP! Now have a son who is 17 months.
Now - in middle of first FET - scan to check down reg has worked a week today and hopefully transfer mid November.
Wow, your story seems to mirror ours! Im currently on down reg for first ICSI cycle and have egg collection date provisionally booked for 27th november. Thank you for this positive story!! Ive never spoke on here I just sit and read but this just shone a little bit of light for us
There are so many sad stories on here so I think it’s always great to read the stories of hope and know that it can happen. I sometimes feel guilty for having had it so easy compared to some of the ladies on here but I keep reminding myself that no one on this journey has it easy, we’ve all experienced the jealousy and sadness of yet another pregnancy announcement. And I do hope that my story gives people who are new to the process hope that it can happen first time. Best of luck with your cycle!
First IVF in Jan 13 eggs, 10 fertilised, 2blast d5 (not so good) put back, 1 good d6 frozen...negative on OTD
Second IVF in May 8 egs, all fertilised, all good d3 only one very good d5 trasfer...negative on OTD
Third IVF in Oct, 7 eggs, 4 fertilised, 3 bast d5 ( one good tow slower)...put all back...had my OTD on Wed 18tj and it was lucky 3rd time positive test.
Always Otd 9dp5dt.
Now I keep hoping the hardest time's passed, and keep my fingers crossed for everyone on the journey (and myself). 😘
Thank you so much! I'm a bit shaken now with a little spotting today but the positive test was very very visible so I cling to that. Good luck to you and thank you for post, great summary for us all I think.
Mine's not a positive story as yet but hopefully it will be soon!!
TTC - 3 years officially (Suspected there was something wrong prior to that though as no birth control had been taken since 2007! Due to me studying for exams though, didn't do very much about it at the time.
Male issues so straight to ICSI.
1st round May 2017- 4 follicles, 3 eggs collected - 2bc's put back Day 5, other one not good enough to freeze. - BFN
I’m sure it will be third time lucky for you. I fell out with google. Doesn’t matter what you put in it will give you every scenario under the sun!! Xx
