wondering if anyone of you know/have been given success rates for FET (5 day blastocysts)? I was at my clinic today and asked this question, and surprisingly she told me about 50%, and even higher if history with pregnancy. Can this really be true? FYI: I am norwegian, so this is a norwegian clinic.
I was under the impression fresh was better and was disappointed when my two fresh ended before 6 weeks and had to do a FET but when I looked into it I think FETs had a slightly higher success rate. I found the FET a much gentler process and it worked for me first time. I'm doing another round and my clinic want me to do a fresh transfer and I am so torn over what to do as I suspect my body is just not in a great shape after collection and am worried about 'wasting' an embryo, but their view is it's still the better option despite my experience. Another clinic told me 1 in 3 was about the right odds for any type of transfer, and that's what happened with me so who knows, may just have been chance.
I think it very much depends on your personal circumstances, age, reasons for infertility, history, embryo grade, PGT-A testing etc. We were given a 30-40% chance estimate. First FET failed, the second, touch wood, is sticking. Good luck!
