progynova, endometriosis and FET

Hey all, so just a quick one… I’m having an FET in the next few weeks. My clinic have opted for a medicated cycle. They have put me on 3 progynova 2mg daily then scan next Friday.

I was wondering if anybody has had any issues whilst on this medication with endometriosis?

has it caused flare ups for anyone, or has your pain decreased? I’m seeing there is possibly going to be water retention etc I’m ok with that.

As you can probably tell I’m apprehensive and I was very reluctant to do another medicated cycle. Any advice please ladies? Xx

hi I have endometriosis & have just had my 3rd Fet (embryo transfer last week) , I have not experienced any endo pain issues with the medication during any of the Fet’s thus far , I know we are all different with the pain we have with endo but in my experience all has been fine in that department. I have an endometrioma on my ovary around 4cm which hadn’t grown during this cycle as far as I am aware.

Hope all goes well for your treatment x

Hi Jodes, I've been on progynova for 2.5 weeks and it hasn't affected my endo. Hopefully it will be the same with you. Good luck!

That is reassuring to hear. I’m ok so far just a little up and down emotionally 🙈 xxx

hi jodes. This is useful to hear as my clinic aren’t offering me a medicated cycle like this, or a scan (maybe as I have undiagnosed endo but they have acknowledged an endometrioma on an ovary during a baseline scan prior to my egg collection) so I only had (self dictated) progesterone (lubion and cyclogest) for 5 days prior to my FET last week and then ever since, my OTD is Saturday so we will see, but I have had brown spotting every day bar one since the procedure so not overly hopeful…was it your endo that’s made them decide on this course of action? X

They gave me the option of natural or medicated at my appointment

I think Endo played a factor because this is my last embryo too I think they wanted to time things perfectly.

I have everything crossed for you ❤️💪🏼 xxx
