That is a lot of follicles. Fingers crossed you don't get it! I developed OHSS after 32 follicles were collected (like you I have PCOS and high AMH). My consultant recommended protein-rich diet in the run up to egg retrieval and afterwards. Once I developed OHSS, she told me to take protein shakes or yoghurts a few times per day plus to drink sports electrolyte drinks. Apparently protein helps absorb the liquid that builds up. A hot water bottle helped too. From my reading into it, OHSS after IVF is mild to moderate. The risk of severe is mainly after successful implantation in the same cycle due to the increasing amount of HCG, which escalates the severity. Good luck, I hope you don't get it!
I had over 70 follicles the day before EC and they collected 40 eggs. Did a freeze all and didn’t develop OHSS. I took electrolytes as well xx
Hey, I think it’s the luck of the draw. Prepare yourself for freeze all and OOHS then it’s not unexpected but hopefully you avoid it. As previous posts have said, keep yourself well hydrated. The medical team will be keeping a close eye on you. I got OOHS twice but ended up with a successful pregnancy after FET. Good luck.x
I had my egg collection yesterday. 27 eggs retrieved, of which 17 had icsi. This morning had a call from the lab to say they out of the 17, 12 had made it overnight. Apparently that's quite good. Feeling not too great though. 😕 still in alot of pain, to the point that I've spoken to a doctor this morning. Feel very bloated too and have put on 4 pounds in two days?
Mentally feeling all over the place because I feel like I'm putting my body through so much time and time again. So difficult isn't it 😕
