Hi all, I wondered if anyone has ever had anything similar who could share their story. My wife had a FET on 23/11 of a single 5 day embryo.
We went for a 6 week scan at our clinic yesterday and they found 3 pregnancy sacs, 1 had a fetal pole and the other two were empty. We went again to the EPU and the consultant confirmed 3 sacs and not blood clots. So our single embryo split into 3! But we currently only have 1 fetal pole.
We’re so worried about the next few weeks and we wish we could of just had 1 single baby all measuring right, but anything that rarely happens, seems to happen to us! We’ve had a T21, T13, a MM and a stillbirth at full term. Just really hoping and praying that the one we have keeps growing strong.
Has anyone had a similar situation? Good or bad it would be good to hear.
Thank you

No experience of this I'm afraid but I just wanted to say wow, the two of you have REALLY been through the wringer 😢 I'm so sorry you've had so much bad luck. Hoping and praying this is your time! Xx
Not quite the same but I am currently nearly 34 weeks pregnant (natural conception) and had an early scan at 7 weeks due to a miscarriage earlier this year. They saw two sacs at that time, one healthy one with a fetal pole and heartbeat and another smaller one with no fetal pole. I went back for a scan after a week or so and the second sac had disappeared. I think it’s relatively common but often not known about due to first scan usually being at 12 weeks. I really hope that the sac with the fetal pole is your lucky one 🤞🏽🤞🏽
Thank you for relying and sharing. I can imagine it does happen more than we know because of the usual 12 week scan. We’ve always had early scans and I think you end up knowing way too much and it’s so scary! One of the sacs definitely looked a lot smaller so really hoping there’s just one healthy one when we go back on Wednesday 🤞🏻
Good luck with the last few weeks of your pregnancy xx
