This sounds ridiculous, but I chopped chilli with my dinner tonight and despite having washed my hands several times, including straight before inserting a progynova tablet up my vagina at the end of the evening, I suddenly got a burning sensation up my vagina when I put the tablet up. It subsided within about ten mins.
I'm worried because during the embryo transfer (2 days ago) they said to wear no perfume or body cream. What if I've caused harm by lacing my vaginal walls with a singe of chilli??
I'm not wound up by this in an extreme way, because I'm thinking there must be lots of barriers between the bottom of my vagina and wherever the embryo is... but a bit of reassurance would be massively appreciated!! Sorry to be fruit the loop!! Xx

hey lovely ☺️ the reason they say no perfume and deodorants is because it can damage the embryos etc in the lab conditions ie when it is still outside you in the dish and catheter so I dont think it’s related in that way and you are right the cervix is tightly shut just now too. I always worry about strong spices etc in the 2ww but as someone pointed out to me Indian and Asian people get pregnant all the time and handle spices constantly and often smell wonderfully of these aromas so it can’t be something that harms the process xxx
