I’ve had my invite for my COVID vaccine on the 1st May which I’m really surprised about as I’m only 28 with no health issues really other than endometriosis and having IVF (not that the NHS has done anything with these as I’ve always gone private). However I have my FET on the 29th April so my husband has said he doesn’t want me to have the vaccine.
I probably won’t have it due to the transfer being just days before but I’m about gutted because I would have liked to have had it.
What would you do?
It’s so flipping typical

Its interesting that you have been offered it. I guess there is a lower uptake then there has been.
I spoke to my consultant about this and he said I should have it up to a week before FET and wait afterwards to see what happens. It will knock you off centre and it's not worth upsetting your body before an FET or EC.
Ah that’s frustrating for you, typical indeed! I would probably decline it too in your position, just a gut feeling that I wouldn’t want to put my body through any more stress than necessary! Wishing you the best of luck with your FET ❤️
It's so close to the transfer date so I wouldn't risk it. Also some people get temporary side effects like fever which you don't want just after a transfer.
Personally I wouldn’t have it but obviously it’s a personal choice. I have an FET on the 30th and they said I would do a triage questionnaire the night before to check I’m not unwell as it would be pointless thawing if they can’t transfer it.
Normally when you get an invite for the vaccine and you decline it remains an open invite and you can call to rebook whenever you want. Double check with your surgery if that’s the case and maybe rebook in a few weeks time xx
