So after taking all the supplements that the consultant suggested e.g. Impryl, CQ10 and starting and having to stop DHEA (higher normal range for DHEA-S & testosterone before taking) he’s just today said I only have a 2-5% chance with natural or mild IVF. Also, I explained I was in the upper nomad range for DHEA & Testosterone but he still thought I should take DHEA. This is from the tests taken in June/July, no new tests. They never mentioned this in June/July, they sent me on my way with what now feels like false hope. So why bother to tell me to take all these supplements and to go back in a few months? Also my 2nd AMH level was 0.5 and not 0.39 but said this was not significant - again this was taken in Jun/July. Am feeling low and hopeless 😞

Hey Shauna. I'm sorry to learn things are feeling hopeless. We've chatted before and I relate to how you're feeling. Have you done a follicle count with your clinic and an FSH test as these can provide a fuller picture regarding ovarian reserve. I was a little confused about the DHEA, do you mean that you stopped taking it because the results were on the upper range? Have you or would you consider a second opinion from a different clinic?
Xx
Hi Skittle,
I remembered your story was similar to mine too. I hope you’re well and things are going ok, I know you were feeling nervous not that long ago. They haven’t completed any updated tests since June/July. Before I started taking the supplements. When I last had the tests I had 4 follicles. I stopped taking the DHEA because it was giving me massive hot flushes, made me irritable and it stopped my periods. I only took 10mg a day for approx 3 weeks. Before taking the DHEA I was in the upper normal for DHEA-S and testosterone, so figured that was why. My FSH was 15.2 with low progesterone. All not looking good. We are considering a different clinic, any advice was be appreciated in my PM’s. Am just really struggling today x
So sorry to hear this. Maybe avoid taking the coq10 according to the website this could effect the impact of impryl.
