Just when I thought I knew what to expect with a tonne of IVF drugs, something new is around the corner. I had 3 doses of Ovitrelle with my FET transfer (symptoms were progressively worse after every injection). Last injection was on Tuesday. I had such an upset tummy, I was literally in and out of the bathroom for days. I was also nearly sick in my actual transfer and was very sick when I got home! I was already on 4 Cyclogest pessaries and now on prontogest every day (from Tuesday). I’m still really struggling with a really upset tum. I’m worried the consequences of that will have an adverse effect on implantation (even though I sort of know it won’t!) Apart from staying hydrated is there any advice? Anyone had this? I had this exact protocol for my last transfer and this didn’t happen.
Thanks all 🙏xx

Hi hifer - my stomach was in bits while on stims and I couldn’t be far from a loo at any moment so I sympathise.
I found that after about 5 days (I stimmed for 16 days total) things started to improve.
Keep hydrated! I went on to have a BFP so implantation was not impacted and am now at the other end of the spectrum with chronic constipation so perhaps we are just sensitive souls 😂
Oh goodness me, we just can’t win can we??! Hope it eases soon. Thanks so much for sharing and I wish you all the very best with your pregnancy xx
Eurgh horrible! Just wanted to say I had this on my most recent round. I wasn't on the same drugs as you but I was on a LOT of progesterone, I think it lasted about a week. I did a load of research and think I might have even posted on here and Diane said apart from Dioralyte to rehydrate you shouldn't take anything like Imodium and just let it happen (which wasn't fun and ended up quite painful!!). It did all of a sudden just settle though, and I had sort of forgotten about it until I saw your post. Try not to worry, it didn't impact my cycle. Sending heaps of love and luck xx
It’s just so rough isn’t it?! Thanks so much for sharing. I’m hoping it starts to settle down soon. I was actually on prontogest every other day last time and now it’s every day so my dose has changed slightly. Have figured if I just don’t eat it’s much better 😆. How are you doing? Xx
I just checked my diary and it stopped after 5 days, so hang in there. I put it down to my body being shocked by the extra progesterone and then it sort of got used to it. Fingers crossed yours stops soon. Defo chug the dioralyte tho as you need to stay hydrated. I am ok, regularly coming on here telling people not to worry, take each day as it comes, and stop being so anxious.. and essentially ignoring all my own advice, being doom and gloom and sh*tting myself every. single. day... 🤣 xx
Oh god I totally hear you about the anxiety. I can’t even tell you that it passes, but I can definitely tell you that it’s worth it. Hang on in there. Thanks so much for checking your diary. Hopefully it will come to an end soon then xx
