I started bleeding 4 days after my embryo transfer and then had a positive test but kept bleeding and my test was negative 2 days later. I kept on bleeding for 2 weeks then it stopped.
I then started bleeding again two weeks later and I still bleeding 7 days on. This flow is nothing like my period. It hasn't started light and then got heavier then light again, it's just been the same light bleeding but has been very mucusy, stringy- brown, dark red, red you name it.
At the same time I have this achey feeling around my breasts and have felt so emotional the whole time. I feel like my hormones are all out of balance and I am worried what this bleeding is?
I have never had irregular cycles or bleeding inbetween cycles?
No one at my clinic could explain why I bled so early on day 4 and my GP doesn't want to see me for another 2 weeks.
I just feel all over the place after my failed transfer ( our last ever embryo) and now all this ?
Has anyone experienced this ?
I did have a failed round 3 months ago but never got a embryo transfered as they all arrested in thr lab but my cycle went back to normal after withdrawal bleed.
I am so so worried what's happening to me now.
Thank you for any replies

Sometimes after taking hormones our cycles can get thrown off course and can take a little while to get back to normal. I had a cycle once where it took a few months to stabilise to more what I was used to. Try not to worry if you can as this sort of thing can happen, you could see if your clinic will run some hormone tests if your GP is not willing, or try getting on the GPs case about it and explain that it is making your mental health suffer and you need a sooner appointment. Xx
I just have been bleeding for 3 out of the last 5 weeks and the bleeding this week is now day 8 and it's defo not like my normal period. I can tell my hormones are all out of whack as I just am not syncing up with thays happening to my body. I am very aware of my body and my cycle. I'm just worried it doesn't go back to normal or something is wrong for me to have bled 4 days post transfer.
I totally understand your stress and worry. If you look back on my posts you will see that I bled from day 11 for almost 3 weeks after my failed round and it really prolonged my anxiety and agony. Like you it wasn't a proper bleed, more like spotting and certainly not something I'd experienced before. It really stressed me out.
But as the good ladies on here advised me at the time, your cycle can be totally out of kilter with all the drugs. My next bleed came bang on time and the one after that was a week early! This never happened to me before. The 4th cycle I was back to my normal schedule.
I still don't feel like my period is right after my 2nd failed round in June as I had a chemical after that and then covid so I have been either late or early. My hormones and body just feel battered.
Hopefully things settle down for you soon but if you are still worried ask for a scan. I asked my clinic for one and found that I had a cyst (they didn't think the bleeding and cyst were related), it was peace of mind for me at least.
I think its because I bled so early on at 4days post transfer then when it stopped at 2 weeks I only had 2 weeks and I'm back bleeding again. Worried something is wrong with my hormones or I worry about infection .
I will wait one more week and see if this stops and if not will contact my gp.
Hi Alexislam. It can take up to 3 months for your cycle to return to what is normal for you. If any longer, then you need to see your doctor. Hope all soon settles down. Diane
Hormones wise I feel like I should be on cd4 as I know my cycle like the back of my hand and how my body feels each stage but I've been bleeding for 8 days already and it started 10 days early. I just feel all over the place never mind knowing I won't ever have another baby.
