9 days post 5 day transfer- cramping and bleeding. Has it failed?

hi,

I’m going out of my mind- this morning I had light brown bleeding (day 9 after a 5 day transfer). It’s now the afternoon and I had a bit of deep red blood too. It’s coming and going but I’m wondering if that’s just the cyclogest stopping my period. It’s not enough to fill a pad. Just some on my pant liner/when I wipe.

I’ve also started getting period like cramps too. I’m so scared this isn’t going to work- test day is Wednesday but I’ve spent most of this morning crying. Yesterday was the day I would usually come on my period (I’m like clockwork).

Anyone had this and been ok or is it likely to be negative and my period because its a bleed so late in the day.

Hi, I haven't experienced this but just wanted to say that I hope you're doing okay. Can you contact the clinic for some advice? This whole process is so hard and others reaching out to me provided some support when I was anxious.

Thanks so much for reaching out Frances. Means a lot. I’ve been trying to call them this afternoon as the cramping is definitely getting worse.

Hi JasmineW. Oh my dear girl, this wait is just too awful. Keep taking any prescribed medication, and test on the day recommended by the clinic with the first urine of the day. Hope it all goes well for you. Diane

Thanks for replying Diane- sadly it’s a full bleed and extremely painful cramping..the clinic has said to stop pessaries and test in the morning but expect it to be negative :(. I don’t know how any more rounds I can take x

hi Jasmine, it sounds like implantation bleeding? If you haven’t had an Hcg shot you could test today / tomorrow morning as 5 + 9 = 14 days…

Good morning Jasmine,

I'm so sorry to hear this and I fully understand you. I had the exact same symptoms as you - I'm also like a clockwork. Today was the test day and it was negative, but I already had a full period and I didn't have any doubt.

I really hope everything will work out for you in the end. I feel all your pain, this is so heartbreaking. Sending you lots of love and thinking of you.

Ah thank you so much. I hope you get through this and it works for you because it is a very hard process and people who haven’t been through it don’t realise that! Physically and emotionally!

I think last year was hardest for me- the two times the ivf did work both ended in emergency surgery as I was internally bleeding because they turned out to be ectopic pregnancies. I lost both my fallopian tubes- one each time. It was heartbreaking.

I gave myself a good 8 months to recover and thought I could cope with a fresh cycle now and that it would all work so it’s really tough that it hasn’t. I’m praying it will next time x

I had the same at 7dp5dt and thought it was over the cramps and bleeding was that bad but at 9dpt I tested and was strong positive! Good luck x

Thanks for replying Hanj. You’ll see from my responses that it actually failed- I had a full on bleed and cramping before even testing.

Ah so sorry I didn’t see the other replies. I’m about to do another FET . I’ve had 1 fail and I know it’s so hard. Thinking of you and good luck for the future xx

I’m exhausted from all mine as they’ve all had to be fresh cycles too 🙁. I had two ectopics last year so was hoping this would be the one that now works x
