I have 1 ovary , 1 removed due to them thinking it was cancer, endometriosis I have with a cyst on my ovary too but ivf consultant doesn’t think that’s too much of a problem it has grown by over 1cm with the med.

I am so sorry your ivf has been cancelled, I have no experience of what your going through but I do have endometriosis , I have always had endo cysts so during treatment they cause some issues if they grow too much, but ivf can work with them too. all of my 3 cycles I have had endo cysts and they never caused an issue. I know it all depends if they grow fast. I hope you have a better response next time. sending you strength x
So sorry your ivf cycle has been unsuccessful but do not give up hope. I don’t have endo but you mentioned you were on the long protocol. Sometimes changing the protocol can help. I was in a similar situation when my third cycle got cancelled during stims due to poor response. I had to wait for a bleed and then on my next period I started a short protocol cycle with a much better result to stims. Still no baby yet but I just wanted to advise that changing protocol can help. Take care now x
My last 2 cycles have been cancelled. It's very upsetting. I think the real 'kick me while I'm down' moment for me was the cost of the drugs I had taken up to that point and the bill from the clinic. I'm on a 2 cycle package, so since it was cancelled I was charged for the services I received. It all came to about £1,500 each cancellation. Something I wasn't expecting. Although I have both ovaries 1 never really does anything, so I'm also relying on one and I only have a few follicles at best.
The unpredictable nature of it all is what gets me. My first 2 cycles were traditional long cycle ivf but I am a poor responder. My 3rd cycle was modified natural and seemed to go better. So when the next 2 cycles had to be cancelled I struggled to cope with that.
Anyway, just wanted to let you know you're not alone. Best of luck for your next cycle.
I spend a fortune on supplements. I take fish oil, zinc, vit D, magnesium, folic acid, pre and probiotics. My doctor recommended coq10 so we take that. When I asked about dhea she said that she didn't think there was enough evidence to support it, so didn't recommend i. I took an online blood test and my dhea was normal for my age but low when compared to what they supporters recommend. So I bought some online and started on a really low dose. Thankfully I paid for another blood test as I discovered I had an extreme response to it so my levels were considered dangerously high. I reduced it to having a small dose which I only take every couple of days. I don't think it made any difference though and I won't be buying more.
from my experience I can tell you that Myoinositol or Ovusitol helped me to have better quality eggs of course including here the right protocol 🙂. You can try there is no harm in it.
Sorry your cycle was cancelled. If it helps, I had a cycle cancelled due to my body 'ignoring' the meds - that was on the long protocol but it just didn't work for me for some reason. They suggested switching to short but then lockdown hit and we were delayed a year. Finally restarted on short and still had a 'weird' response! Got eggs but nothing like as many as they expected and fresh transfer ended in chemical. Ran out of NHS funding so went private and had exactly the same thing happened and was put down to me just being a 'weird responder'. However my first FET worked. So don't lose heart that the cycle was cancelled - it's disappointing but it's so individual and this way hey can tweak things to find a protocol that works.
Hi Jade. I have had a cancelled cycle when my follicles were not responding too well. What I would say is I've also gone forward to egg collection with slow growing / poor response follicles and I got no eggs. So as much as it hurts and is frustrating, I do wish I had cancelled my cycle with no eggs as I went through a lot of heartache afterwards and think the kinder thing would have been to cancel. The power of hindsight. Was this your first cycle? Often there are things that can be learnt for the next one, changes that can be made so there is still lots of hope
It is a lot to get your head around. Your AMH looks pretty good so hopefully with some modifications, next time things will feel more positive. The first round can be trial and error so I genuinally believe you can remain hopeful. Unfortunately I have been through multiple rounds, as many ladies on here have, at times this has been crippling. My profile provides information about my personal journey and I must say that the support on here has been invaluable to me in times of despair ❤️
Hi Jade sorry for what you went through. I just wanted to let you know that you are not alone. I went through something similiar. I was doing mini ivf & took mild dose of meds for a short time. From the first scan I had 3 follicles. There were no changes for the next few scans so they tried a puause method where I stop taking meds to help try & shock my body. Although I ended up with only 4 follicles in total, the freeze or pause method cant remember what it was called. They were satisfied with the 1 extra follicle I grew & scheduled me in for egg retrieval shorty after that. I took my trigger shot when I was told. On the day of the egg retrieval, I only had one egg retrieved but it ended up not being mature. I wish you the best of luck on your next cycle & hope the Dhea supplements help you Please keep us posted.
