Did any of you have been in such a shitty situation? I was supposed to have an egg collection this week and got Covid from my son. I can't even express how low I'm feeling at the moment and the thought we need to start over again...
I just wonder how soon I will get my period. Would it be around 2 weeks? They were nearly ready for a hcg trigger....

So sorry to read this, such an awful situation to be in😔😔😔 sorry I have no experience to give but have definitely felt the stress trying not to get covid when in reality none of us has much control over it. The whole covid situation has made the IVF rollercoaster even more stressful. Hope you're not feeling too poorly with covid xxx
The worse is that even people who you think they understand your situation, they really don't. I appreciate they try to help but comments like: Oh, it's just couple of months delay; oh, you should just do it with Covid; oh, at the end of the day it's just money you lost, really makes me angry! It's not only couple months, it's tones of money spend, it's another time to be on those horrible hormones. That's why it's good to vent in here - you guys do totally get it! Like you said, Covid gives us so much of additional stress, on top of already max tough situation. The worse is that sometimes you can't really self-isolate. I was trying and so what - my son still needs to go to school, I can't shut him in his room, and he brought it home. Let's just hope I will be able to start soon enough, and because we just had Covid, we won't catch it again🙈
Hi, I know exactly how you feel. The same thing happened to me in October. I was due egg retrieval 5 days after I tested positive even though I had no symptoms of COVID, my treatment stopped, all my lateral flows were negative too only a positive PCR, all other family members in my household tested negative.
For me, my cycle stayed on the path I'd been before, so it started back as I'd normally have expected even without the hormone treatment.
If it makes you feel any better, I had to wait 3 months until my treatment could start again as we are doing PGD rather than just IVF. So the biopsy dictated the next possible dates. I'm now back on hormone injections and we are doing a preventative isolation in the house.
I hope COVID doesn't hit you hard and you make a quick recovery. Knowing treatment can happen again is the only thing that kept me going. Just annoyed we had to wait 3 months.
Hi Spiky, thanks for your reply! Was it any chance that it was false positive in your case? It sounds crazy that you were the only one get it and also shown only on PCR test. For my household not so easy to do self-isolation as even though me and hubby can work from home, my 5 year old son needs to go to school. Also he still needs hugs and more close contact, he is still little. And that's exactly where from Covid came
I'm just really really tired from all this waiting, it's always something on my way, and suddenly it's 3 years later, and I still haven't finished IVF chapter. Each round was supposed to be the "lucky one" - and here we are again, with round number 7 being cancelled. I will really need to dig more strength this time - I think I'm reaching my limits.
Thanks for the info about your period - let's hope it will be the same in my case!
And about Covid symptoms - I feel really fine, just a bit of runny nose. I think all 3 dosage of vaccine done the job well
Good luck in your treatment. I cross fingers for you guys x
Hi zytajones. Well, that is awful news, and I am so so sorry to hear it. Your period might take a little longer to show up due to being manipulated, but keep strong, you will get there. Thinking of you. Diane
