Been waiting such a long time to start my protocol (due to start meds on Sunday), but worrying it’s all going to get cancelled. Any one else in this position? Xx

Hi Hopeful,

It definitely depends which clinic you're at but Glasgow have cancelled all of our cycles and any embryo transfers now. I was due to start at my next period 😢 I hope you get good news. If you haven't already, defo try calling your clinic for sn update. Good luck xx

It's awful. I am due to have my transfer on 23rd March. My scan is tomorrow. I haven't heard anything but I'm really worried. I've waited five months for this transfer after I developed OHSS for my first cycle in October. The news is saying there is no timeframe for return to normal life. Is anyone at a private clinic which is operating? Does anyone know about transferring embryos to another clinic?

You can request it to be transferred to another clinic but i think there is a fee to pay.

Hi Ala. we’ve recently transferred embryos from Edinburgh to Bristol so if you do decide to go down this route let me know and I’ll give you the details of the company we used. They were excellent and made the whole process really easy.

Cost wise we paid £450 for the transfer plus £200 for each clinics admin costs. There is a lot of paperwork to be done hence the £200 x 2, but both clinics and the transport company were brilliant and took care of it all.

Very best of luck to you & I really hope you’re able to start treatment. Private clinics are going to carry on longer than NHS ones so that might be an option. Xxx

I was told yesterday that my transfer has been cancelled cause of coronavirus. I am so upset. I went for my final scan today and have my egg retrieval on wednesday, if there are any healthy embryos they will be kept frozen till this virus is over. I dont know where you will be doing your ivf, mine was being done at the homerton i only get one cycle funded by the nhs.

Hi... im paying privately but in an NHS clinic and they have told me I can’t start my cycle... and to call them when my next cycle starts 😤 it’s annoying but keep telling myself that the delay might be a good thing to allow my body to recover etc. Good luck

I'm in downreg at the moment but have checked my clinic website (nhs, London) and they are still going ahead as long as you have no symptoms.

Have everything crossed this guidance doesn't change but think it must be coming what with everyone on this forum also getting their cycles cancelled. It's so horrible but fingers crossed you get the go ahead. Have you checked the guidance for your clinic?

Lots of luck xx

Don’t know it this helps but I’m in Doncaster area and my nhs cycle is still going ahead. Had ivf icsi cycle in jan that didn’t work 😔 but got one for freezing and I’m getting it put back as natural frozen cycle this month infact it gets transferred Saturday !! Xx so hopefully nhs won’t be cancelling all cycles xx fingers crossed and good luck xx ps took me 4 years of chasing nhs guideline to get any help so I know how hard it is xx really hope you start cycle xxx

I had my scan today at a London hospital (NHS) and they said they were not advising any patients any particular way. There isn't enough evidence on the risks of coronavirus and pregnancy. They said a doctor will call me to explain the risks but it's up to patients to decide. They also said they weren't doing any new fresh cycles, just working through what exists in the system. My transfer is booked for next week so fingers crossed nothing changes until then !

Hi sorry I didn't reply to this, was avoiding forums until my transfer because it was just stressing me out! I was at Guys. They've now closed. They are not sure when they will open again. If this doesn't work out I'll have to look at private, but difficult as we are being financially hit by Covid at the moment. I know I should be grateful, I'm healthy and well. Hope you're all okay out there

I've just seen fertility treatment is cancelled across the board, in private and public clinics, until further notice 😢

Anyone in private clinic spoken to them about timelines?
