No period after canceled ivf

hey ladies

So I was told by the fertility nurse that my next period will be heavier than usual .

Had ivf cancelled as my follicles where not growing enough so canceled before I had finished the injections .

I have endometriosis ( cyst too) anyway so my periods are quite heavy , but very regular.

No period , I never miss a period they are regular as clockwork .

So wondering how long will it take to come again and what are other peoples lives experiences.

Due to start ivf in January again .

So sorry you had your round cancelled, and so frustrating your period hasn’t showed up yet. Don’t panic too much, the drugs can make them go a bit screwy so I am sure it will show up soon but speak to your clinic if you are worried x

I was regular as clockwork except after IVF cycles, the drugs would really mess about with them. Unfortunately it’s a very individual situation, hopefully it will show up soon. I’ve also found my response was very different on the next cycle, for me my body needs a natural period in between to re-regulate itself before we go again. Annoyingly you can only learn what YOUR body will do by going through it yourself as it varies x

Hi Jade. It can up to 3 cycles for your period to return to what is normal for you, so try not to worry too much - it will happen. So sorry to hear of the cancellation, but if having NHS treatment, then that cycle will be honoured, and you get to try again. Good luck! Diane

Thank you , yes it’s on the nhs , I get two goes at it , nobody seems to tell you this

Hi Jade, I am normally like clockwork even after my IVF cycles (after collection without immediate transfer) but I had a cancelled transfer due to covid and to add to my trauma it took 66days before period arrived so rest assured it will return in time, body just needs to adjust and once it does you are back on track and have a new time plan to work towards. I know in the meantime timing is everything..
