Migraines in 2ww

My OTD is tomorrow (today I’m 8dp5dt). In the last 3 days I’ve been getting horrible migraines - paracetamol really isn’t cutting it! But for me these are usually a pre-menstrual thing so has got me overthinking/ panicking. Last night, on wiping, I saw the palest of pink spotting and then convinced myself I was feeling crampy. I don’t actually know if I was or not (does that make sense?). It didn’t last long, and there’s been no further discharge…

My question is, has anyone else experienced this late on in 2ww? (And have you gone on to have good news?). I was distraught last night, cried on my partner that I felt it had failed already. He couldn’t really understand- told me to stay positive but it just feels so unlikely to be a good outcome 😓

I don’t really have an answer for you, but just to say I am in the same boat. I keep waking up with migraines which I never have before. I am hoping this is a positive sign. Or perhaps just the stress of it all.

I also had cramps on day 7 and 8 but theyve gone and my OTD is tomorrow so again, I’m hoping that’s a good sign.

Fingers crossed for you xx

Thanks for your reply. It’s so hard when you’re constantly second guessing every little twinge.

I’ve since started spotting this morning so have emailed my clinic 😑

Fingers crossed for us both - good luck for tomorrow x

Hi Eldouble. Sorry to hear about the headaches. Most of the fertility drugs used act on the pituitary gland underneath the front of your brain, so can cause bad headaches. Try drinking more water, as that can help. no anti inflammatories such as ibuprofen. Hope it settles with the water. Good luck! Diane

Thanks Diane. Yep, been drinking plenty, cool packs on forehead and paracetamol.

Unfortunately I’ve had spotting today so my clinic have organised bloods: progesterone and bHCG. After a negative urine pregnancy test this morning I suspect it’s not going to be great news, but at least it will be definitive!

Sad news here. I bloods yesterday which showed a low bHCG (6) and today I’m started bleeding properly. Onwards and upwards 😞
