I’m supposed to be having my first natural FET next week (one fresh cycle ended in MMC at 10.5 weeks in June and we have one frostie to transfer). Currently testing for ovulation so I can get it booked in. I have been expecting the smiley face on my clear blue test for 5 days now but still not appeared. This would be the month my body doesn’t play ball! This will be the latest I have ever ovulated (I’ve tracked it for many many months!) It’s usually around day 13-14 of cycle but I’m currently at day 16 and hasn’t happened.
I guess my question is, does this matter? Has anyone else still done a fresh FET when they had an abnormally late ovulation (for them) and did it still work?
Also, if it comes in next couple of days, it is likely to mean my transfer will fall on a weekend - any idea if clinics do transfers on weekends or will it be cancelled due to this?
I am really struggling with all the waiting and constant delays - anxiety/stress feels like it’s rocketing at the moment. 🙁

Hey Nattsplatt, I had my 4th unmedicated FET 9 days ago, my clinic(in Canada) had me go in daily for bloodwork to monitor when I ovulate as it is more accurate than the ovulation tests. This cycle I actually took the home ovulation test alongside the bloodwork as I took part in a study, the day I was ovulating(bloodwork) the test kit said I wasn’t in the morning but that I was at night 🤷♀️ My ovulation is always random though, I wouldn’t worry about that! My clinic is open 7 days a week, the only reason I would imagine they would have to cancel your transfer is if they have too many transfers booked that day. I hope this helps! Good luck! ❤️
Thank you for replying. Good luck with your FET. My clinic is closed on the weekend but I’m hoping that maybe they still do transfers if needed, just not everything else. I guess I’ll find out when I ring them on Monday! It’s reassuring to know that your ovulation is random - I’m probably overthinking everything! Maybe I’ll test again later! I think I just got myself into a bit of a tizz this morning - hence the post!
Hi lovely, late ovulation doesn't matter, the length of luteal phase (after ovulation) is more important. If you ovulate late it shouldn't impact the cycle outcome, as long as they know when you have ovulated
