We are preparing for the next FET, i asked my doctor for more tests and he gave me vaginal microbiology test, and it cames back me having E coli that is resisting a lot of kind of antibiotics, so he gave me a specific antibiotics and a vaginal prebiotic.
Im pissed of as they never asked me to do this test, and looking in the internet its kind of a big deal and can cause fertility problems.
Did anyone of you had this problem? Can this be the problem why I had 4 failed transfer with a good embryos ? The number of leukocytes came back high as well so i suppose inflammation would cause problems too.

I believe this is called Chronic Endometritis, and supposedly it's really common. My doctor offered me a biopsy of the uterus to test for it, but I said no thanks (too painful). Was yours a swab or a biopsy? In the end, he encouraged me to take a course of levofloxacin, metronidazole and doxycycline just in case as he thinks it's a big hidden issue for lots of ladies! I never knew. Totally understand being pissed, they should definitely be on top of this stuff xx
Hi Titawine. My feelings are that it would be good to get rid of the E Coli before transfer again, as it is a powerful bug usually found in the bowel.. It can cause recurrent urine infections too, so perhaps they need to give you some cover during transfer and afterwatds. Hope all ends well next time. Diane
