After 4 IVF cycles and 5 transfers, including 2 with donor eggs, I've only had BFNs. I want to test for everything, but the price is £4k for ERA, Emma, Alice, Immune and some other thrombophilia (I think that's what they said) test. Can anyone recommend the cheapest way to do these tests or somewhere that is reasonable? PM me please. 🙏
I've had 2 biome tests before and both came back fine last November, so I'm thinking I don't need all these tests. I'm also not sure about the blood clotting one, has anyone had this?
Many thanks
X

I'm not sure where you based but ERA, EMMA & Alice only cost about £1600 in London if you do them at once. You should also get clotting tests done and NK cells if haven't done already. Have you tested donor embryos? Even young donor eggs can have abnormalities. We just tested our 2 and one came vack abnormal.
If you go on Fertilysis website you can order your nk cells and blood clotting tests for circa £500. You will have to get someone to draw the bloods for you and ensure you ship back the same day. It's really easy once you get your head round it. Good luck x
Wow, that is a great website with some very interesting information about infertility. I've booked a free 30 minute consultation. Thank you so much, you've probably saved me a lot of money. X
Hi hopecontinues, did you have your free consultation with fertilysis? I'm wondering if it seemed a good option only test I haven't had is the NK tests and this seems cheap. Bit concerned about who I would convince to take my bloods in a healthcare setting lol. Don't know how my DR would see it?
Hi,I had my consultation on Tuesday. They said they don't think NK cells are the problem, as that is more likely to cause miscarriage and they also don't think it's thrombophilia as I have tried clexane and Aspirin on previous cycles. They said I could try the nk cells test as it's not expensive.
I asked about ERA and was told a lot of clinics see no difference in outcomes, so they don't do it. I've been told that before by clinics abroad, but people swear by it on here, so I'm not sure what to make of it.
There is a holistic clinic near me who will analyse thyroid etc, so i think I'm going to try them as they have a doctor there who takes the blood sample. Maybe they'll also do the nk cells blood sample for me, not sure, but worth a shot. They do allsorts of tests for parasites etc and gut health, which apparently can cause infertility. Maybe you have a holistic health place near you who could take the bloods?
Thanks for coming back to me, much appreciated. I'm not sure tbh will have to see if there is I've had 3 previous miscarriages up 2017 and then just never ever got pregnant again 9 implantation failures with IVF own eggs and 1 failure with donor eggs. So not sure what's up with me 😭🙈. I think I'm going to push my clinic to do low dose prednisolone without the test. Lots of people on here there clinics seem to be accomodating. Good luck on your journey 😘
Hi lovely, Sorry to hear about your previous cycles.
We had 5 FETs and 4 cycles, and were only lucky on our 6th go.
I had the ERA done prior to the 5th transfer but the adjusted time wasn't enough on it's own.
So I then had the immune panel done and it turned out I had high NK cells, and so was given prednisolone for our 6th transfer which worked.
My clinic gives inhixa (blood thinner) as a matter of course for every transfer so if you wanted to avoid having the thrombophilia test you could just ask them for that. I also took aspirin to help thin the blood.
To be honest, the immune panel was the most expensive, but for us it was the most useful - of course you don't know that until you get the results back!
Hi Millbanks sorry for jumping in, but I’ve been prescribed Prednisolone for our next FET (starting 10mg, then going up to 20mg) - how did you find it? any particular issues or side effects I should prepare for? Thanks xx
