Most miscarriages are because the embryo is chromosomally abnormal. I see you say mcs, how many losses have you had? I’m sorry you’ve had to go through this. I had the tissue tested after my miscarriage which confirmed a Trisomy 16. After 3 miscarriages you are usually referred for tests and investigations, if you are falling pregnant naturally, IVF may not be the answer xx
I had my miscarriage tissue tested and our little girl was perfectly normal. I finally went through the miscarriage clinic after a stillborn, medical termination at 22weeks (due to complications that gave baby zero chance of survival outside of the womb) and 2 miscarriages at 9 and 13 weeks. They’ve discovered I have a blood clotting disorder that they think has contributed to all of this and is also an easy fix with medication. Definitely get investigations done. ❤️ Xx
Like the previous comments suggested, most MCs are due to chromosomal abnormalities. If you and your partner have no genetic issues and you keep getting MCs with tested embryos, then I would investigate further. Depending on your age and AMH, IVF can help you determine which embryos are viable. It's not 100% accurate but the best we have at this point. I myself ran to IVF after 2 chemical pregnancies but due to my age (over 40) and non existent AMH, IVF was a bust. I only ever got one egg/blast and it wasn't even good enough to be tested. I did manage to get pregnant naturally at 42 after many cycles of trying. Good luck!
Hi Preety. You could ask about the use of low dose soluble aspirin or heparin in view of your miscarriages. This should ensure good blood flow to your womb and lining, and help to prevent clot formation. Good luck! Diane
