Hi, I've been lurking here for a while and finally posting something.
I'm 37 and have had two natural miscarriages and two failed IVF cycles, one fresh and one FET that was euploid. After the two MCs I had some blood tests done and found out I have Factor V Leiden and as a result I was on clexane for the two transfers. Other than the Factor V everything is unexplained. Both the embryo transfers went very smoothly and were good quality so we don't know why they didn't stick, particularly the last one which was euploid.
I'm about to start the transfer of our final euploid embryo. We've added prednisolone to the protocol now in the hope it will make a difference.
I have found the whole journey really difficult and I am dreading this cycle failing.
Does anyone have any suggestions or words of hope for a 3rd cycle succeeding / success stories with steroids?
If this cycle doesn't work we will probably do another egg collection and then also a hysteroscopy, uterine biopsy, EMMA / ALICE / ERA tests. I know there is an argument we should have got all these done before transferring the final euploid but as my womb lining has been fine and I have implanted twice already we took the decision to just add the steroids this time.

I'm in the TWW with my 9th transfer - one chemical, lots of BFNs and no baby yet. My blasts weren't tested and at my age (eggs collected aged 41 & 42) they may have all been aneuploid, or there may be something else in play, I can't be sure.
My transfer was the last blast I had in storage (and the worst graded - 4BB/C) and likely the last I'll ever have with my own eggs. Prednisolone was added in for this transfer on a 'throw everything at it' basis. I had doxycycline pre-transfer for the same reason. I can't help feeling that it would've been better not to wait until my very last/worst blast to try these things if there was a chance they could help, but here we are.
I think it's always helpful to feel you tried everything you could, so the prednisolone is worth a shot and it's good you've got a plan beyond this transfer if you need one. I don't have advice, but wishing you lots of luck.
Be sure to research the tests you may have in the future Take a look at hfea.gov.uk Add Ons for further information .Take care and good luck with your treatment
Hi, I don’t remember the dosage now and I don’t have the packaging any more but I started the doxycycline at the same time as Norethisterone (medicated FET so I have norethisterone from day 19 for a week, then have a baseline scan afte a bleed). I took it for two weeks.
Hi, no I'd finished the course well before the time of transfer. Think it worked out that my transfer was about 2 weeks after I finished the doxycycline.
