I'm currently in my 2ww on my 5th embryo (all frozen and genetically tested). The first transfer was a natural cycle with a 4AA embryo, which was successful but I miscarried 2 days before the 6 week scan.
Since then I've had 2 more natural transfers (both 4BB), and now I'm on my second medicated transfer (both 5BB, but this time a 6 day blacotyst rather than 5). There's no reason at all why these transfers shouldn't be working. I had some mild endometriosis but have bad it removed twice now. My lining has been on the slightly thinner side but the doctors assure me that that's not a reason for it not to work (it's been 6.8/9 each time except the first time and this time where it's 7.2/3 on both).
That makes me think that the embryo quality must be a factor and I've all but convinced myself that this whole cycle is pointless. When I was doing natural cycles I just knew whether it worked or not instinctively. I can't explain how exactly, but I was right every time (including 3 previous rounds of IUI). Last time, on hormones I was 90% sure it hadn't worked and was right. This time I'm on so much medication I have no idea, although I'm not feeling hopeful.
I guess this is just a rant, but it'd be great to know of anyone who's had successful transfers with lower grade embryos!

my story is a bit different to yours - I only have a smidge of endometriosis but did not need treatment. On my first ivf round, I had to have a day 3 transfer because both of my embryos were not dividing to expected number. Day 3 I think they expect embryos to be divided into 6-8 cells but my embryos were a 2 cell and a 4 cell. So they called me in to do the transfer. But it worked. I’ve since had two more transfers with good day 5 blastocysts but both resulted in BFN. IVF is not an exact science I’ve found. I hope you find your BFP this round xx
It took us 5 attempts to get BFP with a 6 day 3BB embryo finally. The first embryos were higher quality day 5 and we tried medicated and non medicated. It was our last attempt so we tried a few extra things we hadn’t before; endometrial scratch, ground seeds, acupuncture, sex the night before implantation (there’s a study which says apparently this helps). Anyway, I can’t say why this one worked, but I also felt it had worked - and had never felt like that before (so even despite the medication). But maybe it was just hope - it’s hard to say for sure.
Wishing you all the success and luck with your journey. And all the love and strength to get though it. Xx
I've never heard of that study, do you have a link to where I can read more about it? We've always been told no sex from the start day of the cycle (as in Day one of getting my period).
Glad to know I'm not the only person out there who can 'feel' it, was beginning to think it was all in my head!
