Embryo transfer worries

We've had 3 embryos make it to day 3 (x2 8 cell and x1 10 cell) and the doctor wants to transfer all 3 today. I'm a bit concerned and wondering if this is the right course of action. This would be my 4th round of ICSI, the previous 3 being all fresh transfers too, and I have a history of RIF so none have ever taken. Last round (1st with current clinic) they did a transfer of 1 embryo on day 3, and 2 on day 5 and we had one left to freeze which was only a 3BC unfortunately. None left to freeze this time. I'm 41 in a month. Just wondering what your thoughts might be.

If you are using embryoscope, I would ask if they have divided equally, the level of fragmentation and the embryologist's view on grade/quality. If they are top, maybe transfer one or two and if a poorer prognosis, maybe all 3. Alternatively, you could ask to wait to day 5 and see how many you have then? Decisions are so hard with all this. Good luck 🤞

Thanks for your reply. I think I was needing some reassurance, and decided to trust the specialist. They were top grade 4 for one of the 8 cell and the 10 cell, and a grade 3-4 for the other 8 cell. Hopefully one of them sticks!

Transferring 3 on day 3 is fine if you are 40. I transferred two day 5 blastocysts at 38 and one was healthy to stick and is now my son. The risk of multiples is very low.

Also, if you have implantation failure, have they checked vitamin d, thyroid, biopsy for Emma, era, Alice and nk cells. I did and it turned out I have low nk cells in endometrium which affects implantation. I had neupogen infusion on first day of progesterone and hcg infusion on transfer day. My progesterone was 181 on transfer day. High progesterone and extra treatment overcome problem of implantation failure. Good luck

Thanks for your words. It happened this morning so I felt quite overwhelmed as it wasn't what we were expecting to happen as they did the split transfer before. They checked several things Inc vit D, thyroid, hysteroscopy with endometrial scratch etc and I've done immunes (had intralipids a couple of weeks ago) for slightly high cytokines. Appreciate the advice. Clinic has never broached ERA/EMMA/ALICE before so I don't know if it's something they'd do but if it doesn't work this time, I'll ask about it at the follow up consultation. Thanks

Thanks Healthy1s. It's reassuring that people have said this. We went ahead with it yesterday. Hoping one takes now. We'll find out soon enough. Need to get through the next 12days now!
