First time FET: do's and don'ts?

Hello ladies!

We are having our first FET on Monday. We had a fresh cycle in April/May but had to freeze all embryos because I developed OHSS (I have PCOS). So big day is coming quickly and I wanted to ask for your advice and tips on do's and don'ts just before FET and during the TWW...

I have a few specific questions that I have been trying to figure out too. The first one is exercise. We have a dog and walk him twice a day for around 45 minutes to per walk. Should I continue the walks as normal? Or cut back to one walk? Or no walks especially in the first days after the transfer? Not quite sure what would be best....

The second question is about food supplements. Currently, I am taking folate with inositol, vitamins C and D (spray), zinc and probiotics. I read somewhere that one shouldn't take highly concentrated food supplements during pregnancy and mine are in high doses, i.e. 400 to 1000 % of the recommended daily dose. Should I stop everything except for the folate and the probiotics?

Third question and this is probably me overanalysing things. Cosmetics. I know I am not supposed to use perfume or deodorant on transfer day. I have sourced perfume-free soap, shower gel and a salt-based roll on deodorant. But what do I do with hair products? I have found a perfume-free shampoo but my hair mask, conditioner and oil all have perfume. Should I just not use them this week or is it safe to use them if I was my hair and use them a couple of days before the transfer?

All comments, tips and suggestions will be very gratefully received :)

Walking is encouraged a couple days after transfer. I don’t know if it did anything for my successful round but worth a try. Each morning I would have a handful of Brazil nuts, a ring of fresh pineapple & a shot of pure pomegranate juice. I took pregnecare tablets each day & in relation to cosmetics just used the same really. X

Definitely lots of walking to keep sane! Although I wouldn’t do a strenuous one straight after the transfer. I’m not sure about the supplements as I have only ever taken pregnacare and omega-3 and I’ve never heard that about cosmetics! I used all my normal stuff on both successful rounds. Wishing you lots of love and luck! I’m 18 weeks after our first FET xxx 💕🍀

I rested for first couple days with both my transfers, my first was 2 years ago BFP and I’mCurrently in my 2WW and got BFP from day 5 .. after that both times I tried to be as normal as possible just not pushing to far.

My biggest advice is to do what you feel is right, my worry was that I would do something then get a BFN and question myself after so if you question anything your going to do maybe just don’t do it for now!

Good luck xx
