Hello, I had a transfer on Sunday of a 3 day embryo following a fresh cycle. It was the only embryo we got from this round so it's all riding on this one. I felt exhausted on Monday and by Tuesday evening was in bed with a sore throat feeling like I'd been hit by a truck. Woke up on Wed with a really high temperature (39.5), sore throat, sore head and just exhausted. I've been testing for covid but tests have all been negative. I called the clinic to ask about a possible post-op infection but they ruled that out as no pain or bleeding. My temperature is still consistently above 38 even with regular paracetamol. Against my better instinct I've been googling and have freaked myself out about the potential impact of being unwell and having a fever during the 2ww. Anyone know if there is likely to be a negative effect on implantation?

Fever after transfer.... should I be worried?
Hi lovely. It's sound horrible. I hope you feel better soon. I had a horrific sinuses infection just in the middle of my 2 week wait, ended up on antibiotics. Despite wanting to die for a week and all the meds I tested positive I saw the heart beat yesterday! Stay positive, hydrated and all will be fine ❤️
Take care of yourself - plenty of fluids - paracetamols - cooling bath or shower - icepack to fore head to help bring temperate down .Take care

I am sure I read somewhere that having a fever is often the sign of implantation as your body is fighting something else to enable your embryo to bed in. Not sure where I read that but I certainly like the idea for you! x
Loving the optimism! I think the dates would be too early for implantation though as it was just a 3 day embryo on Sunday so implantation probably not happened yet?
I don’t know enough to be honest - I feel like the more I Google the less I know and the more confused I get 😂
My clinic did tell me not to worry about being unwell in the 2ww so I am sure you will be fine! Good luck xx
Haha I know Google is not our friend… why do I never learn?! Thanks for the encouragement xx
Well we all love a bit of Google don't we!🙈🤣 Try not to get too hung up on it, I know it's hard....I googled a lot so can't lecture too much. I think you just have to take it with a pinch of salt. Wishing you loads of luck, you so deserve it!!🤞💪🏻🤗😘xxx
If it helps - I had severe pain in my side, high fever and vomiting 2 days after transfer and ended up on morphine drip for 24 hrs. I have a gorgeous 2 year old from that transfer. Hope your body is just protecting your little bean from something.
I had something very similar, a high temp that wouldn’t go down, thankfully the little one stuck and we are also eagerly awaiting the 12 week mark
I also felt awful in my two week wait, I felt exhausted so run down and had styes in both eyes! And felt shivery. I gave birth to my little boy in November last year! It was a big fat positive ❤️ Apparently when you fall pregnant your immunity drops to stop your body attacking the Embryo. Which makes sense feeling so run down etc. Wishing you all the best and positive wishes ❤️❤️
Hi! I really hope its not the case, but it did happen to me on my fresh transfer and it failed. To me it felt like it was my body fighting the embryo as a virus. Maybe you should look into NK Cell Killers. I thought it was my case (I mean it could have been. Who knows. I never got tested for it.), but then did a modified natural cycle (because I was not ovulating on my own) and it worked!
Anyways, I wish you the best.
Hi, when my 3rd embroy got transferred, i had also got fever, stomach pain, but it was the sign of positive pregnancy. So hope for the best
These posts give me hope as I had a transfer Saturday and tested positive for Covid Monday.
Wishing us both the best Imno and lots of magic baby dust. ✨✨✨
It’s such a difficult journey, stay positive 😘
