Dhea interaction with follicle stimulating hormone…

Hey ladies. Quick question, about to go into another mild stimulation FET where I have to take a small amount of menupor (50) for about 8 days before my trigger shot… I’ve been taking DHEA for about a month now and I think I remember reading somewhere that DHEA and gonadotropins shouldn’t be taken together?? Is it because the Menopur doesn’t work aswell whilst taking DHEA?? Any input appreciated, thank you x

I’m not sure about FETs but for stims/egg collections I’ve always taken DHEA and menopur (450) together and stopped a few days before egg collection, but worth checking with your clinic. I started dhea 3 months before EC xx

Thank you. Yeah I’m not taking the Dhea for the FET, I’m just preparing for another egg collection if this FET fails :/

Yes I did the same it was hard to know when to temporarily stop the DHEA. It’s a tricky one but for FET I’d probably stop abit sooner to be safe and restart straight after the 2WW if unsuccessful. The half life of DHEA is about a week so should be out of your system fairly quickly once stopped. Xx
