Side effect of progesterone dex injections

Hi all I started progesterone dex injections on Monday to prepare for a fresh transfer on Saturday, since I have had stomach cramps, diarrhoea and cramps I would associate with a period. Difficult to know if it's related to the drugs or it's just a result of food/ the heat as I am in Cyprus but just thought I would see anyone had any info to offer?

More than likely due to medication and should settle down . Make sure drinking plenty of fluids and eat a light diet - little and often . If still causes concerns in a day or two or symptoms worsen let your clinic know Take care

Hi,

I’ve felt quite uncomfortable in my stomach since taking progesterone pessaries. I started taking them on Saturday and had my transfer Tuesday. I have felt unwell since. Lots of wind and a feeling of ingestion/acid reflux and finding it hard to eat 😩 I was actually sick on the Tuesday. I’m going to give my clinic a call just to check if it’s normal. I hope you feel better soon! X x

Thanks for letting me know, I have had pessaries before and felt ok, but the injections are new and I do think they are having an effect on me. I must admit I have lost my appetite a bit too! Good luck hope yours settles x

I had an awful stomach on injections and pessaries last time around - super bloated and a bad tummy. Settled a bit over time but only really went when I tapered off the meds much later. I didn't get the bad stomach when I was on pessaries only on prior transfers so maybe it was the injections. Best to get it checked out though if it carries on.

I will do thanks a lot. I normally have such a good stomach so I am convinced it must be the injections although I will know more easily once I am back home. Thanks
