Hi guys, so I’ve been taking stimms for 7 days now (tonight will be my 8th day) and we’ve just got back from the scan to see how well my follicles are growing. Just wanted to share and get some reassurance as this is my first cycle so wasn’t sure what to expect.
My lining was 7.8mm
I had one follicle measuring 18mm and a few measuring 14,13 and 12mm
And some others that were smaller.
I think the nurse said there were 14 decent sized ones but there’s only one reaching the right size at the moment.
We are going back tomorrow morning for another scan to decide if I stay on stimms for a bit longer or to decide when to do egg collection.
If others could share their experiences I’d really appreciate it, especially anyone with similar number to mine ❤️

For a day 7 scan this sounds really encouraging. Typically clinics want follicles to be over 16mm on egg collection day, and follicles tend to grow approx 2mm a day. So with 14 follicles and all some good sizes I think you are in a good position x
Thank you for replying, i did ask the nurse but I think they don’t like to really say if it’s a ‘good’ response which I understand. I’m hoping they’ll have grown some more by tomorrow. Thank you again x
Hi Ziggy. The count and sizes are coming along nicely. Of course you have to wait until egg collection before knowing how many there will be. The lining is doing OK too, as we like anything over 8mm, so not far off. Just wanted to wish you welland hope you get a decent number of eggs. Good luck! Diane
Hi Diane, thank you for your reply! I was a nervous wreck in the waiting room so feel better now I know what we’re working with. We have another scan tomorrow morning so should know more then thanks again ❤️
Both of my ECs I got a couple more eggs than I was expecting from follicles so things are looking good for you. I was told to expect around 1/3 eggs to make it to blastocyst on average so hopefully you’ll get a fair number. Best of luck to you! Xx
