Clots - 5.5 weeks pregnant

Hi Ladies,

So I have just done my second transfer, got the good news i am pregnant and all my levels were way better than the clinic was expecting.

Just had my second blood test (5 weeks 2 days) on Tuesday and the results were 3040 hcg and higher than they were wanting for Progesterone. Which they said was fabulous.

Went toilet last night and had light bleeding, thought nothing of it and then later got slight period cramps and then a blood clot which was large came out. I had light bleeding and then nothing and now it is a day later and i have brown when i wipe.

Has anyone had this and not had a miscarriage?

I am waiting for the blood test to come back to advise if all my hormones have dropped or not, but freaking out.

I had blood for a day badly for my first pregnancy at around the 8 week mark but can't ever remember seeing a clot the size that came out and everything was ok.

Congrats. 🌈🎉. I had the same around 6+6 weeks and was pretty scared. But all was ok and am now 10 weeks today. Wishing you the best. 🤞🤗 all crossed of good blood numbers today. ❤️

Thank you. I needed to hear this. Anxiously waiting for the call for the results of the blood work. The wait is horrible

It could be an hematoma, are you going to check it out?

Just heard from the clinic, apparently my numbers haven't dropped so they believe it was nothing to worry about. They will check my bloods again next week. And then the week after we have the scan. Wishing we could do the scan now but it wont show anything they have said that would confirm.

I had my first scan at 5+5! Anyway if you were not cramping a lot (to the point of having to take painkillers) there is nothing to worry a about. I had bright red bleed for a day or 2 and it was “only” a hematoma. Best of luck! Xxx

Oh wow. I am 5 weeks and 4 days now. They said it was too soon for a scan. :(I would love a scan to see what is actually happening. But if my numbers have increased and not dropped hoping it was like what you said a hematoma. Thanks for your response xo
