I just wondered what anyones experience was on transferring one or two embryos in a frozen transfer?
I am having FET on Tuesday next week. I’m 34 next month, have a 20 month old daughter from FET which was a double transfer. This time I am opting for 1 I think but my husband thinks we should do 2 again. The embryos are 5AA 5ABs hatching so good quality.

Hi Lucyhannah. The HFEA have a policy on single embryo transfer, might be worth a read.. This is our information. fertilitynetworkuk.org/lear... luck with your decision making. Diane
I transferred 2 as advised by my clinic. They both stuck but they think I lost one very early. As your grades are so high I would go with 1. What do your clinic think? Wishing you lots of luck its a hard decision. ❤️💫
I transferred 2 before and have a little girl now so 1 stuck and they were both good quality embryos however I think my instinct is saying 1 this time! Especially as they are good quality and hatching. Thank you & and you!
I transferred two on my fourth transfer, and both stuck! I now have twins… but it was a fresh transfer and I’m not sure of the grades other than being told they were both great quality. If your gut says one, then I’d transfer one! It’s interesting as whilst we aren’t considering a third baby just yet, we have talked about whether we’d transfer one or two next time as well! It’s hard to know because transferring two doesn’t necessarily mean twins as in your case. And I transferred two with my third transfer and it ended in a CP so also in my case, it doesn’t also mean it will work! Anyway, I digress. But I agree with you, go with your instinct! Sending you so much luck 🤞🏻 Xx
I transferred 2 and have twins but I know loads of women who also had triplets from a double transfer. Only do it if you are prepared emotional physically and financially for multiples. One of my twins appears to have some long term medical issues which is becoming apparent a year later - these can only be from being born a twin so there are risks involved.
I also have an older child and whilst she absolutely adores them I do feel a certain amount of mum guilt that she’s gone from being my sole focus to now attention is split 3 waysThat being said I’d have twins again in a heartbeat it’s brilliant (exhausting) fun and won’t rule out transferring one of my two remaining embryos next year
