Hi, I'm new here! I live in London and am speaking to my GP about a referral for fertility treatment (most likely IVF) on Wednesday. She said I should do some research to decide which hospital to get treatment at. I was wondering if you have any advice on where to look for this (beyond a simple google search) and if anyone has recommendations of where they went? I was considering Kings College Hospital as an option as it's near where I live. But I'm open to any suggestions. Thank you

Hey!
I may be wrong, but if it’s NHS then I think you’re referred to your local hospital. Kings College is a good fertility centre, so a good one to consider. You can also review others via this website: hfea.gov.uk
Wherever you decide to go, sending you lots of luck on your journey 🍀 xx
I'm at Kings at the moment and happy to answer qs - I think we're meant to do it by DM!
Main thing that's been a benefit for me is how close it is. I know there's a lot of reasons to go for a clinic but you have to go A LOT so it being close to your home or work is essential. I had an appointment yesterday, left the house at 3 and was done by 3.35pm. Means it's easier to balance everything. So if it's your closest I would go for it! X
I went to KC I will PM you
Hi Catz. If you have a look at your CCG details online you will be informed where treatment will take place. You don't just choose if on NHS. Your CCG (Clinical Commissioning Group) is the one attached to your GP Practice post code, so ask them and look up the criteria for treatment and where you have to apply for funding. Good luck! Diane
