Canesten tablet before a frozen transfer?

Sorry for the TMI post….

Anyone know if I can use a thrush tablet before a frozen embryo transfer ? It’s not till Tuesday so 5 days away. I know you can’t when pregnant but I have the tell tale signs of thrush and the cream never really clears it up for me but the tablet does the job super quick.

Is it okay to use given I’ve got 5 days? Weighing it up, surely having thrush will be worse for my transfer if I can’t shift it with the cream?

Thanks

Hi I don’t know the answer to your question but I did the era test and was advised to take vaginal probiotics for 10 days and to do this before starting my fet cycle.

I’d check with your clinic. Same as lady 39 I was advised to take canesflor which is probiotic, after my ERA test, but they advised this to stop when I start taking progesterone before my fet. Good luck.

Hi Sara. I believe it would be OK, but like any medication, do check with your clinic/GP first. Diane

Hi there, for me they told me that the tablet should be taken 2-3 weeks before... Otherwise the cream is ok, I always put the cream with the pessaries and then if it was not gone, I had to wait for the end of the progesterone pessaries and take a pessarie for the thrush and that finally clears it up. But it's very annoying... I just had to wait. Good luck xxx

I know women who have been advised canesten pessaries even when they are 39 weeks preg and are 3-4 cm dilated. So I would think it be ok but def check with your doctor xx
