Anyone else? Still on down reg 6 weeks later

Good morning my angels. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. I started down reg (syranel nasal) at the start of April and have had scans every 2 weeks since then. Scans have shown a cyst (prob from my fresh collection in March), my lining isnt responding to the down reg as it should and bloods have shown high oestrogen. They told me just to keep on the nasal spray and hope that they can get control of my cycle.

Last week I asked if I could switch over to another down reg (injection based) in case I'm not absorbing the nasal spray but they wanted to try one more week with what I'm on and then they will change approach. So it's 6/7 weeks on down reg. My original transfer date has come and gone and I'm really no further forward. I started spotting light brown at the weekend but no period.

I had thought they were going to cancel this round but my consultant (whom I do trust) doesn't want to which I'm grateful for.

Had anyone else had a prolonged down regulation, is this usual? Is there anything else I should challenge my clinic about to try and get this going? I have been having acupuncture and trying to eat foods to lower my oestrogen.

Yes it feels like a long time too! Esp with this breakthrough spotting I think my body is fed up x

Following up on this in case anyone comes across it. So after 6-7 weeks on down reg my lining is finally behaving, my oestrogen has FINALLY dropped and they aren't concerned with the cyst, which is still massive apparently but no longer producing oestrogen.

So we are all systems go. I start progynova today and transfer should be in a few weeks. I almost can't believe it. I've been waiting since March to get here and I basically no longer even felt like I was doing ivf. I'm bricking it now but I will face the next few weeks again with positivity I hope!
