Whilst I was abroad I had a misscarriage and it was quite painful physically (as the bleeding wouldn’t stop) and emotionally as it was my third… I was suggested to visit a clinic to see if everything was alright. I arranged an appointment with a clinic and had a hysteroscopy performed. I was so shocked to see that my womb was completely stuck with tissue and polyps the doctor could not even get through all the way into my womb to take a sample for biopsy.
I am back now in the uk and I don’t know from where to start. Could you please advise what can I do? I know NHS route it can take forever but going privately it can be very dear and the money is really tight.
Can you please suggest a solution or what did work for you?
Thank you x

Is it PCOS or endometriosis? There are groups here you can join at least for endo. I read it is usually a long wait on the NHS but in any case, you should see a doctor asap to get the diagnosis and treatment planned…
I have no idea as still waiting for the doctor to send a report in English. I can certainly join other communities. I have spoken to my Gp and she said that she will refer me to the specialist but still they need the medical report which I have already requested and I will be chasing everyday…
It took about 3 months to get seen on the NHS with my polyps. You definitely need to be referred whether nhs or private. Hope you have some details from their findings - if not just explain it all to the GP and they’ll get you referred
Thank you x. I guess my GP needs it to speed up the process (not sure though) I just wonder how much can this procedure costs to have it done privately?
Hi there, I have also undergone 3 miscarriages and until the last one no one had suggested checking my womb for infections. It's worth contacting Fertilysis in Greece for a free consultation. They do very thorough infections testing. I went to Greece to have a hysteroscopy where they determined I had chronic endometrisis. This could be caused by previous miscarriages and the Dr said there was no way a pregnancy could thrive with that infection so they treated me. It's gone now. I also found I have a uterine septum by being referred to St Mary's recurrent miscarriage clinic via my GP. I've also got immune issues, genetic blood clotting and insulin resistance. Only found all of this after my last miscarriage! Good luck!
