I'm due to start my third FET cycle in a months time. I was wondering (I don't have the best experience with our clinic) & I have been thinking. Both of my previous transfers have always been done on a Tuesday and the next one is also booked for a Tuesday. This doesn't feel very personalised and more of a case of oh we need to make the dates work for a Tuesday as that's the day we do the transfers. (Both of my egg collections were on a Thursday). I am going to ask my clinic but I just wondered if this is normal across the board?
Also ahead of this cycle, I haven't been on steroids previously and I am thinking of asking about going on them.
Any help/advice is much appreciated!
Thank you x

My clinic always does transfers on Fridays. It's not a problem as they can kind of keep you in a holding pattern with the estradiol for quite a while. So you'll start estradiol after you get your period and they'll look at the calendar to see a suitable date for transfer and count back from there to calculate when to start progesterone. That's the benefit of medicated FET, particularly for the clinic, it's easy to schedule. Don't know how they'd schedule EC so easily though, mine have been on different days. Anyway, best of luck with your transfer xxx
Heya. My clinic do egg collections and transfers on different days, but on my last FET they were really busy, so scheduled the transfer 3 days later than I was expecting cause that was the earliest appt they had - I was a bit worried, but as the previous lady said, they were very confident that it’s not a problem as they keep you in a holding pattern with the Estrógen. The transfer did work and gave us a BFP…. (Sadly ended in a chemical, but that’s not related to the transfer day). I do also agree it’s possibly trickier with egg collections as they have to time it for the follicles…. Good luck 🤞 x
