Hi there,Here’s a little background about me. I’m 34 and have stage 3 endometriosis and adenomyosis. My partner and I have been trying for 2 years.
I started an ivf cycle in March and had overstimulated ovaries so had a freeze all.
Three eggs fertilised but only two were frozen. One is a four cell embryo and one is an 8 cell.
I am due to start FET in a couple of months time and my consultant is asking do I want one or both put back and I’m not really sure what to do. I don’t know if either will have a chance at implanting and I realise the 4 cell embryo probably has little chance of implanting. Do I go with the better embryo and keep the other frozen potentially for the future despite it not being great? Or do I have both implanted and hope for the best?
Has anyone been in a similar situation? What did you do and what was the outcome?
I’d really appreciate if anyone has any thoughts on this.
Thanks so much

Hiya, I'm also 34 with endometriosis. I transferred two embies before and none stuck. I then transferred another two and one stuck I'm currently pregnant 🥰 it was a difficult decision but I went with what my clinic advised. They were keen for me to transfer two. However they were of a similar quality as apparently if the embies differ alot its best to transfer one. Also, consider having twins if you're happy with that financially and mentally ❤️💫 huge good luck with what you decide xxx
Thanks so much for your reply and congratulations!!!! Yes I asked my consultant what he advised and basically said it’s up to you so I’m really not sure. 🤔
My best friend had two transferred , she doesn’t remember the grading but was told one was good quality and the other wasn’t very good. She now has 7 year old twins.
Sorry to jump on the back of this post with a question rather than an answer but just curious about the number of cells. My consultant mentioned numbers after our review of our miscarriage. Our first fresh transfer resulted in an early miscarriage with a 4AB (which he said is a 10). We have a 3BB, 4BA and a 6 day 5AB in the freezer but he said my next best embryo was my 3BB as it was also a 10 like my fresh transfer. This confused me as the other two sounded better grading from what I understood about the grading (I didn't quite get the numbers bit). Does the 10 mean it's a 10 cell embryo? He said my 4BA and 6 day 5AB are 7s, this would make sense if so. My clinic has been taken over by CARE and I know they're changing the way they grade. Sorry for the long ramble! Having my 3BB popped back in on Tuesday.... eeeek
