Fet lining to thick?

Hi folks it's been a wee while since i have posted. We are currently in the middle of our final FET. I had my scan yesterday and consultant was happy said my lining was 12mm thick. It's only since i went home and have been thinking about it, i have been taking 2mg for 4 days, 4mg for 4 days and 6mg for 4 days and i have to increase my prognova to 8mg tomorrow, that will continue then until after otd. Im so worried my lining will continue to get thicker and b too thick then. I was with my acupuncturist today who also raised that he thought 12mm was border line too thick. Id b ok i think if i wasnt to increase the mg and/or still keep taking the prognova, anyone any thoughts or experiences? Transfer is set for tuesday all being well. Hope everyone is doing well xx

Hi Littleflower82

If your unsure then prob best to call your consultant or fertilty nurse so theycan clarify and reassure you. Accupunturists aren't medically qualified (not by western medicine standards anyway) so I'm not sure if they should say things like that.

I did have the same fears as you when starting my FET and as I have reacted a lot to all of the medication. My fertility nurse told me it doesnt really getting too thick (but I had heard of it in the past so unsure lol).

Best wishes for your cycle

X

Thank u for taking time to reply. Yeah i know he isn't medically trained and he did say that and he told me to check with consultant but i already had it in my head after Dr Google lol so he just made me worry more. I will see if i get any other experiences on here and maybe contact the clinic then.

Hi there, I once had a natural FET where my lining went to 14mm. (It was the month I went crazy on raspberry leaf tea but could be coincidental) I had also heard a lining can be too thick so I asked if it was a problem. They said it’s fine as they have watched it develop gradually and therefore understand it’s not due to an underlying problem or imbalance.

I’ve also had a medicated FET where there was no concern of thickness. Hope that helps, but call your consultant if you’re worried as when you start progesterone they can’t judge lining anymore. Xx

Hi

I have full trust in my doctors. I take 6mg for 7 days and then 8 for 6 days.

If in doubt, call them and ask, better than overthinking I think x

Thanks Everyone i got speaking to a nurse who checked with consultant and they are more then happy with the lining, she said the prognova tablets will just maintain it and its imporant to keep on them,i think im just trying to find things to worry about 🙈xx

Hi Little flowers, don't worry when I had a failed cycle my lining was 12mm,but last time lining was 13.5mm and I'm currently 12weeks.

Have a rest don't analyse everything its hard but keep reminding your self.

Lots of luck on your way xxx
