Thick womb lining of 12mm?

Hi all,

Hope all is well.

I have recently been given my scan results and I noticed I’ve got a womb lining of 12mm is this classed as a problem? It seems very thick to me? I have just been diagnosed with adenomyosis could this be the reason. I’m confused as the dr said in the scan my womb was fine but I’ve had the results and this is worrying me.

Thanks in advance 😘

I think it’s normal dependent upon where you are in your cycle, mine was 16mm on cd17 a couple of months ago and they weren’t worried x

I was on day 27 a day before my period xxxx

I think it should be thick then. Mine has always been 12mm prior to frozen transfers too. I have the opposite problem to most and it doesn’t thin! X

When I last did ivf 5 years ago my lining was only 6mm on egg transfer and now it’s 12mm with a normal cycle and no medication. I’m 😐 I’ve just been told I have adenomyosis. Do you know anything about this? Will it affect my implantation? I think you one of very few most people struggle to get it thick. How is your journey going xxxx

Absolutely disastrously!! 3 transfers, 2 pregnancies, 2 losses- twins @9w and a boy @ almost 17w and a potential failed cycle this time if my lining won’t thin. Hopefully you will have better luck than me! I’m sorry I know nothing about adenomyosis X

Thanks, yeah it’s not been the journey we had expected! Even my consultant said it’s a massive understatement to say we’ve been unlucky! Good luck, I hope your journey is much more straightforward x

Hi hun before transfer anything above 7 mm is good. Couple times my was around 12.9 and they was happy about it. Good luck with your transfer xx

My lining was always around 12mm at the lining check prior to embryo transfers. That’s like the one thing doctors complement me on.

That’s good to know. It was a day before my period. I thought this indicated a problem with my womb as they have said I have slight adenomyosis xxxx
